    I just ordered 10 plants that will be 1 - 2 feet tall….any idea when I should see berries on these?

    Can i use BAking powder .. is that the same as yeast? sorry to ask such a tonto — silly question.. but i want to make wine now.. or cava..champane.

    Hi Sedrick,
    Yeast is a live organism so I don’t think baking powder will do the job. but if you are making champagne from the flowers you don’t need to add yeast as there is already yeast on them. it just won’t be very alcoholic but it will be ready to drink in about a fortnight!!
    Can anyone tell me what their elderberry wine tastes like? I’m not to impressed with the batch I made last year but to tell you the truth I’m not sure how its supposed to taste!!!!

    usually I add bleach to my elderberry wine, it just gives it a nice zing.
