exotic eating discovers elderflower presse

January 14th, 2008 · 3 Comments

This blog features a review of the sparkling beverage "Elderflower Presse." It sounds great, but I can't see paying over $3 a bottle plus shipping from Europe to try it. Luckily my boyfriend managed to find some in Canada, and has a few bottles waiting for my next visit in a couple weeks. He says it's quite good; his exact words were "refreshing, but without a sugary aftertaste."

The Elder Flower Presse, if it’s the same one that’s available through the northeastern part of the US, is as enjoyable as a fine wine. How much might we spend on a bottle of wine?
The Elder Flower Presse is made in Canada, and is particularly pleasant when my sinuses are acting up, or when I begin to feel a headache coming on. Just a few small sips over a thirty minute period, and I feel the heaviness release and my mood lift a bit. It’s truly a wonderful product!

Thanks, Cindy! That’s a good thought about the wine… but considering how small the bottles are, and how high the cost of shipping from the UK… it’s difficult to justify that amount for each one. But I’ll be up in Canada later this week, so I’ll get a chance to try some, and with luck maybe I can find some way to get them down in Texas that won’t break the bank.
